Samburu Gender Watch is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) with NGO Coordination Board in Kenya. SGW’ envisions a society free from gender discrimination and her mission is to transform unequal gender relations through collective visioning and action. SGW has implemented programs in the northern arid and semi-arid regions of samburu county, and has also worked with urban informal settlements. SGW’s programs are evidence-based, and the organization promotes diversity and inclusion of all genders, ethnicity, and religious backgrounds. SGW is committed to the inclusion of children and youth with disabilities and is continually seeking partnerships with organizations aligned to its mission of improving the well-being of  margainalized communities in the northern kenya.

SGW works with like minded partners to  promotes gender equality which is about the equal rights, opportunities and responsibilities of women, men and non-binary people to shape society and their own lives. Gender equality is a human right and a prerequisite for eradicating poverty.
